NBA stars for the 2017-18 season are going to look different, clothing-wise, as Nike‘s eight-year partnership officially begins by officially unveiling their new jerseys.
The new jersey is based up the refined version of the Nike Aeroswift basketball chassis. Nike used 3D-body maps of stars to match the uniform design to the intense and grueling 82-game regular season. They also made a change to the back shoulder of the uniform for an improved fit when NBA players wear it.
According to Nike:
“Coinciding with the introduction of the new uniforms, the NBA is eliminating its “Home” and “Road” uniform designations. Beginning with the 2017-18 season, home teams will pick which of their uniforms will be worn at all home games and visiting teams will choose a contrasting uniform within their own assortment.”
With this change Nike and NBA worked together to create four different uniform editions, which is revealed below according to Nick DePaula’s Twitter account.
