Levi Releases Google-Assisted Jacket

Levi Releases Google-Assisted Jacket that is not only stylish but tech savy! The Trucker styled jacket is apart of the Project Jacquard platform by Levi. Levi is known for being an eco-friendly and popular brand by majority of consumers under different spectrums. They use their innovation and create sustainable products that are fashion worthy!

Levi’s® Commuter™ Trucker jacket designed with Google ATAP’s Project Jacquard

The title of the merchandise is called Google x Levi’s® Commuter Trucker Jacket. It seems as though the jacket’s target market is meant for men in their 20s to early 40s who are always on the move and enjoy their technology! Just observing the item it looks like an ordinary dark woven jacket. However, Levi used microfiber material that incorporates with the Google Jacquard tag that connects with a smart phone. Anyone wearing the jacket can answer phone calls, texts and listen to music while having it on. According to Keith Estiler of HypeBeast, “More precisely, the jacket boasts retro-reflective accents, stretch fabric paneling at the shoulders, back ventilation, a dropped hem for extra coverage, and storm cuffs for wind and weather protection,” said Levi in a statement.”

The jacket is officially released on Sept. 27th only in three locations: Brooklyn, NY, Hollywood, CA, and Boston, MA. The second release is October 2nd in Santa Monica, CA, Chicago, IL, New York, NY, and San Francisco, CA. Technology collaborations is the future for fashion by making everyday people lead simpler lives. This is super exciting and hopefully other fashion companies create more life changing garments that feature technology.
