Halloween is coming which means several things: candy, costumes, pumpkins and most importantly, horror films. Here are 4 horror films to watch for Halloween.

1-Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is a 1999 horror film directed by Tim Burton that stars Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci and its based on the Headless Horseman folklore. The plot is constable Ichabod Crane (Depp) is sent to Sleepy Hollow after a few murders (beheadings) where he meets the bewitching Katrina (Ricci) Since this is Burton’s work, expect dark atmosphere, Gothic clothes, a lot of fainting, and not a lot of blood thought there are people getting their heads cut off. Still it’s a great Gothic film.

2-Trick ‘r Treat

Trick R Treat is a 2007 anthology horror film directed by Michael Doughtery, starring Anna Paquin and Dylan Baker. This is the ultimate Halloween film! It follows a small town that shows what happens if you don’t follow the rules of Halloween, (Poisoning candy, destroying jack o lanterns, etc.) But this movie has werewolves, vampires, ghosts, and slashers. Great for any Halloween party.

3-Children of the Corn

The story centers around a couple that car breaks down in a small town where a cult of killer children worship a god call He Who Walk Behind the Rows. This movie is very campy and a bit boring. But it has its good moments and has gained a cult following, which has spawned too many sequels to count.
