Patriotic apparel brand Grunt Style is hosting an event, Grunt Fest, on October 21st in its home of Chicago, Illinois with headliner performer Canaan Smith. In the spirit of growing and appealing to veterans, military and patriotic Americans alike, Grunt Fest is a fun and creative way to interact with the brand. This is the company’s 6th event that allows you to “experience the brand,” and not just wear it.
If you’re planning a weekend getaway, take a trip to Chicago, Illinois and get the chance to meet Kirstie Ennis, wounded warrior, and ESPN’s latest cover issue model. Ennis is more than a pretty face. After surviving a helicopter crash, former U.S Marine Corps Sargent underwent several surgeries leaving her with an amputated leg. She did not let this injury take over her life, and continued to live as the athlete she always was.
In a recent interview with ESPN, Ennis states, ” I will never complain about being an amputee – I’m alive, happy, healthy – but I would damn near do anything to have my left knee back.”
Ennis embodies everything that Grunt Style and Grunt Fest represents. Next week she will even be heading off to Mount Everest! As for her mountaineer career, she states, “I’m doing this for any person who can find any inspiration in what I am doing.”
