It’s official! The Costume Institute finally revealed it’s 2018 Met Gala Theme: “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
The annual gala will focus on “ecclesiastical vestments” from the Vatican, resulting in a total of 150 designer products and pieces-each one crafted after religious art from the Met as well as Catholicism.
This showcase is said to be the longest one yet, stretching from the exhibit all the way to the Anna Wintour’s Costume Center. The gala will also be co-hosted by a few of our favorites: Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace.
The 2018 Met Gala is expected to begin at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 7, 2018!
