For the past couple of years, Virgil Abloh’s career has been on a steady incline, and 2017 was no different. He has been featured on the cover of System Magazine and has even won an award for his Nike collaboration. Now the Off-White™ designer will be the subject of a new exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
Opening in the summer of 2019, the exhibition will consist of Abloh’s work from working with Kanye West to his recent Off-White™ work. The exhibit will not only focus on his fashion; the exhibition will show his work crosses all forms from furniture design, graphic design, architecture and other work with other artist.
A series of events will be held to go along with the exhibit aimed at educating and empowering young people.
MCA’s Virgil Abloh exhibition will run from June 9 until September 22 2019.
