Rapper and actor Shad Gregory Moss is better known by his stage name Bow Wow (previously Lil' Bow Wow). In the late 1990s, rapper Snoop Dogg discovered him, and after that, he was introduced to record producer Jermaine Dupri and signed to his label, So So Def Recordings, which is a Columbia Records subsidiary. At the age of thirteen, Lil' Bow Wow released his first studio album, Beware of Dog (2000), and his second album, Doggy Bag (2001), a year later. Both the albums' critical and commercial reception led to their top positions on the Billboard 200, at ten and eleven, respectively.
