Adidas has greatly grown past the Jordan Brand shoes to become No. 2 under Nike in sneaker sales. ESPN news anchor Darren Rovell made a poll on Twitter trying to figure out what has attributed to getting Adidas back up on the top. Kanye West was the number one voted reason for it, because of his very high collaboration with them. When Kanye’s Yeezy shoes came out, hell broke loose, in the best way possible. People lined up everywhere to be the first ones to buy them, crashing his website and selling and buying them all over the internet.
Adidas is coming out with things that the kids want to buy and want to be seen wearing. They know the trends and they know how to get noticed. And according to Twitter and The Washington Post “The sentiment on Twitter is that Jordan is not cool anymore, which is overblown. But there is no question that retro Jordans [are] not selling out immediately like they used to.”
