Kith NYC is a supply store that sells clothing, sneakers, and accessories. It was created in 2011 by Ronnie Feig, who prior to this was a designer, and got his fame from his “252” Asics collab. Kith is a go-to resell/retail store for rare items from brands like Adidas, Nike, Off-White, and Yeezy. They have multiple stores in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and one in Miami. Kith has also collaborated with big brands including Vogue, Asics, and Nikes Lebron James sneaker line. Another brand they have made a collection within the past is Coca-Cola.
Last year they made a collection consisting of Kith box logos with Coca-Cola colors, and slides. The new Kith X Coca-Cola Summer 2018 collection will reportedly feature a Converse collaboration as well. They are set to release Kith x Coca-Cola x Converse sneakers on August 18. There will be four colorways: Red, White, Yellow, and Blue. The reasoning behind the colors is that each sneaker is meant for a different country. These countries are the USA, France, Russia, and China. It will feature the Coca-Cola logo on the back of the shoe. Instead of the Converse logo on the side of the sneaker, it will say- “Kith, Its the real thing”. There will also be a Kith logo around the side of the toe area. Ronnie Feig posted on Instagram stating “When working with Coke, I work on products I want to collect and make sure its kept pinnacle in the timeline. Bridging Coke and Converse was a no-brainer for me.” We don’t know what other products will be featured in the collection, but from previous Kith collabs, we know to expect the best.
