Adidas has always been about providing comfort for the customer. Their most famous product, the Boost line, is the most comfortable cushioning in the world. The Adidas UltraBoost incorporates it perfectly and is now considered the most comfortable shoe out right now. But the Boost line was originally meant for running. It was used for that for a while until people started wearing it casually, and the sneakers dominated the footwear world. But if you do use these for running, it may be difficult in certain scenarios. For example, the shoe is composed of Boost, and Primeknit, which is a very thin material. So if you are running and it starts to rain, the rain is going to get in your shoes. Also if maybe the terrain in your area is different, it may be difficult to utilize the Ultraboost for running because it might not have enough traction.

Putting all this into consideration, the Adidas Speedfactory in Atlanta, decided to make different running sneakers for different scenarios. The sneakers will be different based on weather, different terrains, and more. They have asked different professional athletes from different cities to tell them what kind of running shoes they would be looking for. The cities the shoes will be made for now will be London, Paris, New York City, Los Angeles, and Shanghai. Some of the shoes have already released but more are on the way. Although we don’t have a specific date yet, the shoes will retail for $200 and will be available on Adidas.com
