The evolution of footwear has been taken to the extreme and Balenciaga is fueling the flame. The luxury fashion house has launched a Los Angeles Lakers inspired makeover to the Track.2 Sneaker.
The Track.2 Sneaker was previously released in multiple assortments of colors such as orange and grey, and red, grey and blue. The latest take on the innovative silhouette features overlapping leather, as well as nylon and mesh upper canvas. The sneaker pays homage to one of the NBA’S most iconic teams, with screaming tones of yellow and purple. Although it may not be the right sneaker to run a 48-minute game in, it can be worn for many other events.
Beneath the shoe lays a thick dual-density EVA sole in with rubber features that assist the feet in standing forward. In addition to the over-designed textiles, the Balenciaga branding is found on the side and tongue panels. To finish off the shoe, the designers gave a washed effect that adds depth to the enhanced footwear.
Balenciaga was founded in 1919, birthed in Spain and has been a leading retail house in luxury fashion. The consistency of releasing timeless and unique pieces are what the brand stands for.
The Enhanced Track.2 Sneaker is now available at Balenciaga.com for $895 USD.
