Music Friday’s is Bleu’s way of highlighting new music around the industry. As we head into the weekend, check this week’s newly released music from Fredo, Lil Durk, and more.
Money Can’t Buy Happiness, Fredo
West London rapper Fredo has released his sophomore studio album entitled Money Can’t Buy Happiness. The album comes as a follow-up to his debut album, Third Avenue, released in February 2019. Before the release, Fredo released the album’s first single, “What Can I Say” followed by the album’s lead single “Back to Basics.” After revealing the full track-list via Instagram, fans were able to see the features. What stood out was the Pop Smoke feature. Back in 2019, Pop visited London and recorded a song with both Fredo and Young Adz.
The Voice (Deluxe), Lil Durk
After scoring big with first-week sales, Lil Durk returns with a deluxe version of his album, The Voice. With 2020 being one of Durk’s biggest years yet, he looks to keep up the success in 2021. Just a week ago, he teased the deluxe album to fans via Instagram. The deluxe version will feature 12 additional tracks.
COLOURS (Original Version), PARTYNEXTDOOR
COLOURS, the original version, is making its way to streaming platforms. With a new cover, the project will feature four extra tracks that didn’t make the 2014 release. Fans can now enjoy the project on their favorite streaming platform.
Sound Ancestor, Madlib
Producer Madlib is headed back in time on his latest album, Sound Ancestors. Madlib teams-up with British producer Four Tet for the collection. The album consists of different sounds stemming from jazz, reggae, hip-hop, and more.
Snakes & Ladders, Chip
Chip has released his 11th commercial mixtape entitled Snakes & Ladders. The North London MC taps in with acts from Europe and the U.S, with 2021 marking his 16th year in the rap game. Chip is dedicating this project to his day-one fans. The 21-track collection features guest appearances from Headie One, Mavado, and more.
