To lighten up your mood! Check out this week’s latest releases from AJ Tracey, Young Thug, and more.
Flu Game, AJ Tracey
Micheal Jordan’s iconic 1997 Game 5 performance in the Finals is London rapper AJ Tracey’s influence behind his latest project. Entitled “Flu Game,” the cover art replicates Jordan’s iconic picture from the 1993 Finals. The meaning comes from Jordan’s historic “I’m back” fax. In AJ’s case, he uses the purpose of the COVID-19 Pandemic, claiming to give his all despite the current events the world is facing. Within this project, AJ taps in with acts from the U.S., such as T-Pain, Nav, SahBabii, and more.
Slime Language 2, Young Thug & Young Stoner Life
For years YSL (Young Stoner Life) is Atlanta rapper Young Thug’s blueprint. Over the years, Thugger signed artists prevalent to the Atlanta rap scenes like Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Duke, and more. “Slime Language 2” comes as a second installment to 2018 “Slime Language.” Since then, rappers Gunna and Lil Keed reached new heights. At the same time, other contemporary artists on the label are building a name for themselves. The original “Slime Language” debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 album charts.
Back2Lyfe, Nebu Kiniza
To many, 2016 was an excellent year for music. One of the hit singles beloved by many music listeners that year was the single “Gassed Up‘” by Nebu Kiniza. In 2016, the single made Billboard charts making its entrance within the top 50. Since then, Kiniza took a little break from music from 2018 to 2021. But now, the rapper is back at full effect with the release of his latest project “Back2Lyfe.” With guest features from Lil Keed, Lil Tecca, Future, and Young Nudy.
