From Fayetteville, North Carolina, rapper Morray has become a household name after his hit single, Quicksand.
The hit single goes in-depth about Morray’s adolescent year as he talks about surviving the streets. His uniqueness has led him to climb the charts and receive co-signs from some of hip-hop’s most significant acts. Blending melodies with hard-hitting lyrics, many have labeled his music as Soulful Trap.
Fast forward to 2021, Morray is one of hip-hop’s emerging artists. Just this past April, he released his first project Street Sermons. The project includes hit single “Quicksand” as Morray delivered his story from the streets. Off the success of Street Sermons, Morray received a placement on J.Cole’s latest album, The Off-Season, as he appears on My Life. The greatness doesn’t stop there, as he was inducted into the XXL Freshmen Class of 2021. Not bad for someone who almost considered quitting music.
BleuLife had a chance to catch up with the up-and-coming artist as he dives into his come-up and all the accolades he has accomplished in such a short time.
