Jo-Vaugn Scott, better known by his stage name Joey Badass; many knew the Brooklyn rapper by his music. Over the years, he surprised fans with his acting skills appearing on the series Mr. Robot. In 2020, Scott landed a leading role in the short film ‘Two Distant Strangers,’ winning an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film. Our Issue 51 cover star, Kofi Siriboe is best known for his role as Malik in the film Girl Trips. Born in Los Angles, California, Siriboe is of Ghanaian descent. He made his professional acting debut in the film The Longshots in 2008. He gained attention starring in the drama series Queen Sugar, in which he received three consecutive NAACP Image Award nominations.

Tyler James Williams is an American actor and rapper. He’s best known for his songwriting skills in the Disney Channel movie, Let It Shine. He also appeared as Noah on the hit series The Walking Dead. Williams won Best Breakthrough Performance at the Black Reel Awards for his role in Dear White People’s Netflix series. We all love his role in the comedy series Everybody Hates Chris.

English actor John Boyega first gained attention as Moses in the sci-fi comedy film Attack the Block. Four years later, he appeared as Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy films The Force Awakens,The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker.

Born in Sacramento, California, Keith Powers focused on modeling before taking acting seriously. After pursuing acting full-time, the actor appears on BET series Tales, Netlfix Reality High, and more. Best known for his role as Ronnie DeVoe in Bet’s miniseries The New Edition Story. He became known for his part as Tyree in the film Straight Outta Compton.
