Summer Walker is ‘Still Over It‘ with sophomore album. Key Glock released the long-awaited ‘Yellow Tape 2,’ the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Yellow Tape.’ Toronto legend Pressa is back with a deluxe edition of his most recent project, ‘Gardner Express.’ Check out this week’s new music.
Still Over It, Summer Walker
‘Still Over It‘ is Walker’s follow-up to her debut album, ‘Over It,’ delivered in 2019. She took off, as the album turned into the most-streamed R&B collection by a lady since Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade‘ a couple of years sooner. Before releasing ‘Still Over It,” Walker dropped an EP, ‘Life on Earth,’ and dispatched another name to engrave, Ghetto Earth Records. She also gave birth to a beautiful baby girl earlier this year. Last night, Summer Walker gave her fans a message about the album, saying:
“Take this opportunity to learn from my mistakes. You don’t have to guess if something is love. Love is shown through actions. Stop making excuses for people who don’t show up for you. Don’t ignore the red flags. And don’t think you have to stay somewhere ’cause you can’t find better—you can and you will,” Walker told Apple Music. “Don’t settle for less—you don’t deserve it, and neither does your family.”
Yellow Tape 2, Key Glock
It’s Glocktober! Memphis rapper Key Glock released the long-awaited ‘Yellow Tape 2.’ The follow-up to 2020’s ‘Yellow Tape,’ which peaked at #16 on the Billboard 200 and featured fan-favorite songs like “Dough,” ‘Word on the Streets,” and “Look At They Face,” ‘Yellow Tape 2‘ finds the 24-year-old artist refining his style, unleashing tighter flows, delivering cleverer punchlines, and giving even fewer f*cks. Blessed with production from an A-List of sound architects including Tennessee legends Tay Keith, Juicy J, and Band play, plus heavy-hitters from across the rap spectrum like Sosa 808, Buddha Bless, and more, the project finds Glock once again demonstrating why he’s one of the most respected lyricists in his city. The latest step in Glock’s fast rise to stardom.
Gardner Express Deluxe, Pressa
Pressa is back with a deluxe edition of his most recent project, ‘Gardner Express.’ The deluxe adds several new heaters, including “Cool, Calm & Collected,” a laidback banger featuring melodic maestro Swae Lee, “Dead Body” featuring Brooklyn’s Rowdy Rebel of GS9, and a remix to Pressa’s smash hit, “Attachments” featuring his main squeeze, Coi Leray. “Attachments” has quickly become his biggest global hit to date, generating over 44.3 million global streams across both versions and earning Platinum certification in his native Canada.
