Spectacular Smith: How His Relentless Spirit Is Making Millionaires

Finding fame as one-fourth of the award-winning R&B group Pretty Ricky, Spectacular Smith has always had a knack for knowing what he wants and making it happen. Never losing sight of the vision he outlined for his life, he continues to successfully navigate his way to higher heights, and he’s now sharing his secrets to success with those willing to dream big enough. From performing onstage for thousands of screaming fans to shaping the success of visionaries and aspiring entrepreneurs, Spectacular is living up to the legacy of his name.

Recalling the hills and valleys of his stardom with Pretty Ricky, Smith found a silver lining in what could’ve been a dark cloud in his career.

“When I went through my valley in life, you know, when my group kinda fell off the bandwagon, I had to find something else out,” he says. “Social media has always been a thing for me, and I realized I could make [it] off Twitter, so I started there.”

Learning more about the ins and outs of social media algorithms, Spectacular began creating a handful of different accounts that were successfully being monetized by the platform.

“It was the blue ocean strategy. I mastered it and brought it to the music industry, signing up rappers like Soulja Boy—he was my first rapper —and I got Bow Wow, Sean Kingston, and Master P. Anybody you could think of I had on my platform, helping them grow their following and monetize their platforms,” he adds.

And so, his social media management and tech enterprise, AdWizar, was born. Taking what he learned to help industry heavy hitters like these, Smith developed a way to extend his reach to people who dare to not only chase their dreams but also catch them. Through Spectacular Academy —a virtual educational entrepreneurship curriculum —Smith provides coursework on different aspects of business-building, including branding, operations, marketing, and wealth management. Not only is Spectacular Academy a thriving online program for participants, but it’s also been named a 2024 Inc. Best Workplaces honoree, applauded for its capacity for creating a culture of diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability.

“The reason why the curriculum works so well is because we’re always on the cutting edge,” says Smith. “We just had an event where thousands of people were given access to life-changing opportunities that they otherwise would have never known about. We created this innovative strategy that helped people start their businesses, but it’s a full movement focused in spirituality so that the person is still fed while they watch their business grow.”

Always finding ways to flip obstacles into opportunities, Spectacular has challenged himself to have a hand in making one million millionaires through Spectacular Academy, and it’s already started making some!

“It feels good to be able to do this for people,” says Smith. “My mission is God-led, you know? God told me my purpose, and I know I’m doing God’s work. I am honored to be there for these people and pour into them, and as I teach them, they teach others. Each one teach one.”
