The pair reportedly started dating in early 2020, and their chemistry quickly became apparent. Fans noticed their flirty exchanges on social media, with playful comments and posts hinting at a romance.
In 2021, Brittany and PJ welcomed their first child together. However, their relationship ended two months later.

"I’ve gone through a lot of changes internally and as a result, my outer world has completely crumbled," Brittany said in a clip posted to social media. "I have no idea where I’m going to live or how I’m going to provide for my son."
Brittany went on to emphasize that she was not giving up and that she is putting her faith in Allah.

However, Brittany’s remarks were met with little sympathy. “This the equivalent of a man turnin Muslim after gettin a 15-year jail sentence,” one person tweeted.
While another added, “Umm her child support payments is enough to pay for her rent and high car note bc that car looks expensive I know it’s not as high as they say it is but 3-5 k is certainly enough to pay all your basic bills.”

Criticism over Brittany Renner and PJ Washington’s relationship continued even after the couple split – in part due to their nasty breakup. PJ took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to suggest that Brittany had ill intentions.
"Watch the snakes cause they watchin you," PJ tweeted. For her part, Brittany suggested that PJ was a conscious participant in their relationship, shooting down rumors that she took advantage of the basketball player.
“Please stop playing this victim narrative. If you want to f*** me and just say you hit Brittany Renner, that’s that. Why do we have a baby,” Brittany said during an appearance on the Off The Record podcast.
She also pointed out that other celebrity couples with significant age differences don’t face the same level of criticism. Adding, “It’s crazy to me the age gap between Jay-Z & Beyonce crickets. The age gap between Lori Harvey & Michael B. Jordan, it’s crickets.”
