Rapper Lil Boosie is a rap hitmaker and a proud father. The Baton Rouge-born rapper has often shared his parenting journey on social media, giving fans an inside look into his large and lively family.
Boosie has come under fire for his parenting skills. However, the rapper stands by his unorthodox approach to parenthood.
In 2020, he caught some heat for comments he made about how he’s raising his sons, particularly around relationships and growing up. Boosie was also dragged for suggesting that he would not interfere if he discovered his daughter was being cheated on.
And while some fans criticized his approach, Boosie didn’t back down. He’s always been firm in his ways, standing by his beliefs and how he was brought up.
“Before u question my parenting as a daddy ask yourself is your daddy a better parent than me?” Boosie wrote on Instagram (via HipHopDX). “What rapper u know got multiple baby momas n they kids all grew up loving each other, traveling with each other n has always been n they lives as a daddy n provided for them all?”
Here’s a look at Boosie’s relationship with his eight children.
Lil Boosie is very involved in the lives of his eight children.
Boosie has a total of eight children: Ivi, Ty, Tootie, Tori, Ivy Ray, Lyric Bey, Laila, and MJ. His kids range from toddlers to young adults, and he often emphasizes how much family means to him.
He even created an Instagram account, @the_hatchkiddz, where he showcases their adventures as a family.
Boosie’s parenting style is as real as it gets. He’s all about showing up for his kids, whether it's cheering them on at sports games, taking them on trips, or throwing epic birthday parties.
You’ll often see him flexing his dad duties on Instagram, sharing funny, candid moments with the kids and proving he’s just as devoted to being a dad as he is to making music.

Lil Boosie has never been shy about his parenting style. While he’s a proud dad of eight, some of his decisions have sparked serious debates. In 2020, Boosie faced major backlash after revealing that he arranged for an adult woman to perform inappropriate acts for his son’s 12th birthday, Page Six reports.
He claimed this was his way of “teaching” his boys about manhood, but fans and critics were quick to call out the problematic nature of the situation.
Boosie found himself in another questionable circumstance during a live stream in 2022. The rapper was facilitating a Boosie Gone Bad pay-per-view event, that involved exotic dancers and his 18-year-old son.
At one point, Boosie directs his son to “look at the p***y” through a magnifying glass.
After being dragged for the incident, the “Wipe Me Down,” refused to apologize.
"Just woke up to the shenanigans to me and my son,” Boosie said in a clip posted to social media (via The U.S. Sun). “See what they do y’all flipping out and try to make it f**ked up. But if an 18-year-old man looking at some p***y is wrong, what is right for him to look at?”
