Mandla, Stevie Wonder’s son became famous after he participated in the Academy Awards “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” where he ended on a high note. Mandla had participated in the inaugural season of the competition. At the show, Mandla partnered with her professional dancer colleague- Brightyn Brems and they worked together to showcase their talent all through the duration of the competition. Viewers Were Shocked Mandla and Dance Partner Didn’t Make It to the Semi-Final

It was quite a disappointing experience for Mandla Morris and his fans who expressed shock that they didn’t make it to the semi-finals. It was the 7th week of the show’s season and Mandla had fallen short of the mark to qualify for the semi-finals. It was the “Time Machine Night”, where there were five participating duos, who had to travel to the past and the present to perform their favorite dances.

Mandla and Brightyn decided to perform the futuristic “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Pablo Doble , a song re-made by 2wei. Mandla and his partner earned an impressive 24 out of a maximum of 30 points but still failed to reach the elimination stage. Fans seem to be outraged with the results from the show since the beginning of the show and Mandla’s elimination seems to have added to the outrage. While the final results shocked many fans and viewers, Mandla didn’t seem to express shock as he took it lightly and calmly knowing that he was one of the most consistent dancers of the show.

Mandla Had Conflicting Opinions with the Judges

In his own words, “There’s a lot going on in this dance”. One of the judges, Val Chmerkovskiy seemed to have shared Mandla’s opinion but he wished that Mandla had put in extra fight into his final dance.

Mandy More, another judge on the show, believed that Mandla efficiently played his character and he should have made it past the quarter-final stage. She was one of the judges who gave Mandla a perfect score.

Remarkable Growth from “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors”

Mandla Morris has grown from the little boy who graced the “Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” into a professional dancer. Each week of the show, she seemed to have improved his charisma and dedication. He seemed to have improved week after week even at the end of his final performance. Mandla and his partner performed diverse genres of dance music including salsa, cha-cha, and contemporary music. The positive feedback Mandla got from his performance seems to resonate with him in his new dancing and music projects.
