A Love Letter to You, Trippie Redd's debut mixtape, was published under Elliot Grainge's 10K Projects and debuted at number 200 on the Billboard 200. The lead song, "Love Scars," was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His debut studio album Life's a Trip (2018) and the follow-up mixtape was released the next year, and three of its singles—"Dark Knight Dummo" (with Travis Scott), "Taking a Walk," and "Topanga"—entered the Billboard Hot 100. His fourth mixtape, A Love Letter to You 4 (2019), peaked at number one on the chart, and both the album and its follow-up, (2019), made it to the top five of the Billboard 200. Pegasus (2020) and Trip at Knight (2021), his third and fourth albums, respectively, reached at number two on the chart.
