We've all known Pharrell Williams as a successful producer and musician since forever. However, along with his music, Pharrell has also made headlines for seemingly not aging.

Luckily for everyone, he has finally shared his skincare secrets in the form of a skincare line. Pharrell released Humanrace, a collection of body care for all skin types, in 2020.

Here is everything you need to know about Pharell’s skincare line.

Humanrace Was Inspired By Pharrell’s Skincare Routine

When Pharell launched Humanrace, in consultation with his dermatologist of 20 years, Dr. Elena Jones, it consisted of three skincare essentials — a cleanser, exfoliator, and face cream.

“Wellness is the bar,” he told i-D. “You’re trying to achieve wellness and it doesn’t happen overnight. It takes practice. That’s why I’m so diligent about my routine when I get up in the morning, because I know if I fucking slip, I’m probably gonna slip on some other shit in the rest of the day.”

According to Pharrell, his routine entails taking a hot bath with Epsom salt, followed by a freezing cold, five-minute shower and his three-step skincare routine.

Humanrace Aims to Be a Sustainable Brand, Using Vegan Ingredients

Along with making your skin glow, Pharell’s skincare products are as sustainable as they come, complete with a removable inner section so that they can be exchanged for a refill.

Pharell spent six years researching products before launching his line, telling the magazine, ““Across the board, we ticked every box that we could, because we could, you know? It was about spending the time and doing the research to get it right. The worst thing is doing something half-assed and having to go back and fix it when you’re already open for business. Like, why not just get it right the first time?”

Humanrace Is For Both Men and Women

In 2021, Pharrell added two new body cleansing bars to his skincare line — The Energy Channeling Charcoal Body Bar and Reenergizing Whiteclay Body Bar. However, Humanrace is made for everyone on the planet, as the name describes.

“Humanrace Skincare doesn’t differentiate by race or gender. We’re creating for humans; we’re all born in the same skin,” he explained.

Pharrell has brought the world together through his music, now he is bringing people together through skincare.

“Humanrace is a movement,” he told British GQ. “We're a very open business and we share our practices and the ingredients that go into the products. Plenty of brands are doing things right, but we're doing it our own way. The name itself – notice there's no space between Human and Race – that symbolises that we're bridging a gap and making it inclusive.”

And Pharrell is showing no signs of slowing down. In 2023, the brand introduced a gel cleanser and gel moisturizer, known as the 7D Gel Facial Set. We can’t wait to see what Pharrell drops next!
