The Breakdown: Bow Wow and Omarion went from homies to frenemies. The two artists, who previously collaborated on music, have been involved in a beef for nearly a decade.

If you were around in the mid-2000s, then you likely remember Bow Wow and Omarion's reign over the music industry. Their 2007 joint album Face Off delivered hits like “Girlfriend,” following the success of their previous collabs. Fast-forward to 2025, and their relationship has taken a different turn. Here is a look at the timeline of the beef between the two and how it evolved over the years.

2007: Bow Wow and Omarion were music partners.

Following the release of the single “Let Me Hold You,” Bow and Omarion released a joint album. The two had a solid relationship at the time, often performing together and appearing alongside each other at events. As their careers advanced, the two naturally went their separate ways, and there were no reports of a rift between the duo.

2017: Bow Wow makes an interesting comment about Omarion’s love life.

Tensions surfaced when Bow Wow commented on Omarion's Instagram post following his separation from Apryl Jones, the mother of his children. Bow’s suggested they should "go knock some b***hes," which Omarion later described as lacking respect for his situation.

“He didn’t really have no regard or no respect for the position that I was in,” Omarion said during an appearance on The Breakfast Club. “Whatever I was going through, you’re supposed to support. That’s still the bro. We made a lot of money together. We got a lot of history together.”

2021: The ‘Millennium Tour’ reunion was riddled with drama.

Despite growing personal distance between them, Bow Wow and Omarion proved they could still get the bag together. The two artists reunited onstage for The Millennium Tour 2021, co-headlining alongside other Y2K favorites like Ashanti, Lloyd, and Soulja Boy. However, insiders noted that their offstage energy wasn’t nearly as warm. At one point, Bow threatened to quit the tour, suggesting his set was being cut short.

“This might be my last show! I’ve had enough,” Bow tweeted, adding, “I do 15 [minutes] every night! I can't even do my full songs. And I still be busting folks a**! Think the fans don't complain about my set being 15 [minutes]? Only way I show up tonight if I do my full set! Straight up!”

2025: There is still some tension between Bow Wow and Omarion.

In February, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) suggested Bow Wow should reconnect with Omarion. Bow quickly replied, “No, we don’t.” This sparked speculation about a rift between the longtime collaborators. Bow later opened up about their beef during an interview on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast, describing their relationship as “complicated.”

“I don’t want to talk. There’s nothing to talk about. Not even in a bad way,” Bow said. Omarion addressed the situation in a statement to The Shade Room, saying that, to his knowledge, there’s no beef. “Over the years, I’ve shared space, history, and energy with many in this industry—Bow Wow included. Bringing him into the Millennium Tour franchise came from a place of brotherhood and respect,” Omarion said. “I move forward with clarity, love, and truth.”
