The Breakdown: There’s no doubt that NFL player DK Metcalf is a star in his own right. Without Super Bowl titles under his belt, he’s still been able to become recognized as one of the premier wideouts in the league, and his net worth reflects his hard work.
DK Metcalf is every team’s ideal wide receiver. He has the strength of Ray Lewis, the speed of Tyreek Hill, and the ability to make tough catches like Julio Jones. He’s a super weapon at the wideout position and something most defensive backs can’t figure out how to stop when lined up against him.

He’s had a stellar career with the Seahawks and made a significant amount of earnings in his six-year career. Metcalf is worth every cent, being one of the best products of Seattle’s Pete Carroll era. Here’s the latest on his net worth and an update on his latest moves around the league.
What is DK Metcalf’s net worth?
DK Metcalf has a net worth of $6 million, according to Total Pro Sports. He’s amassed over $79 million in his contracts so far, including the one that he’ll carry over to his new team in 2025.
Metcalf was drafted in 2019 on a four-year $4.6 million contract with a $1.35 million signing bonus. After a rookie contract surpassing his draft day expectations, he signed an extension for $72 million with a $30 million bonus in 2022. This contract put him in the league's Top 15 of the highest-paid receivers.
His 2020 season provided Metcalf with the space and rookie experience to have a breakout year. He recorded over 1,300 receiving yards and set the Seahawks’ single-season record. He grabbed 10 touchdowns for the team before they fell to the Rams in the Wild Card.
2020 also marked one of the most dynamic plays NFL fans have ever seen. Budda Baker caught a short pass from Russell Wilson that would’ve put the Seahawks up 19-7 against the Arizona Cardinals. Baker would’ve gotten a pick-six if it weren't for DK Metcalf showing off his insane speed by chasing down an interception across almost the full field.
With so much skill at the wideout position, you’d think that Seattle would have had post-season success. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case, and it was a key factor in the two-time Pro Bowler’s decision to ask out of the city.

How did DK’s trade request land him in Pittsburgh?
Metcalf requested a trade out of his long-time franchise, Seattle, on March 5, 2025. By the 9th, the star wideout had been picked up and signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The trade comes with years of being ruled out of playoff contention after losing Russell Wilson as their QB1. Now, Wilson and Metcalf are reunited on a team with tons of star power.
The seven-year Seahawk had one year left on his contract worth $18 million going into 2025. The new deal with the Steelers takes that remainder on while also extending his contract by four years and $132 million more. This leaves Metcalf playing in the black and yellow for five years and $150 million total. In exchange, Seattle received Pittsburgh’s 2025 second-round draft pick.
In the three seasons he played with Wilson, the All-Star receiver averaged 72 receptions for 1,056 yards per season. He also averaged 64 yards per game, almost identical to what the Steelers’ star wideout, George Pickens, was able to do in 2024. With two of the best contested-catch weapons in the league lining up on opposite ends of the field, Metcalf's addition to the roster could come full circle for the franchise.
