We’re back again with some of hip-hop’s newest releases. Check out new music from Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Masego, and more.
Pluto x Baby Pluto, Future & Lil Uzi Vert
Rapper Future and his twin Baby Pluto (also known as Lil Uzi Vert) joined forces to release their highly anticipated album Pluto x Baby. Since the beginning of the year, there were many speculations that the two were releasing a joint album. Due to the rumors, a couple of release dates were thrown out. But, as the year is slowly coming to an end, the collaborative album is finally here. This project comes from both rappers’ respective alter egos. For those who may not know, “Future has been known as Pluto since his career’s inception while Uzi adopted the alter ego “Baby Pluto” as a tribute to Future earlier in 2020.”
Studying Aboard, Masego
Masego, R&B’s next prominent singer, released his latest EP entitled Studying Aboard. The seven-track collection highlights Masego’s progress musically while showcasing his production and collaborative skills found in his new music. Before the release, Masego released a visual to his single “Silver Tongue Devil” featuring dancehall artist Shenseea. Set in Jamaica, the visuals display Black beauty and excellence. Studying Abroadcomes as a follow-up to Masgeo’s 2018 album Lady Lady.
Bill Israel, Kodak Black
In November 2019, Kodak Black was sentenced to nearly four years in prison for weapons charges. There has been a lot of controversies since the rapper has been in jail. In September 2020, the Kodak legal team filed a lawsuit against the Federal Bureau of Prison for alleged physical and emotional abuse, torture, and religious suppression. Even though Kodak is behind bars, it doesn’t stop him from releasing music. Bill Israel is the rapper’s first project behind bars.
So Help Me God, 2 Chainz
So Help Me God is rapper 2 Chainz’s sixth studio album. The project comes a follow-up to his 2019 album, Rap or Go to the League, which NBA superstar LeBron James served as an A&R. After the release of the leading single, “Money Maker,” featuring Lil Wayne, the rapper went on The Breakfast Club and announced the album’s title. The 15-track collection features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Mulatto, and more.
Movie, DaniLeigh
Choreographer turned singer DaniLeigh puts a spark on her name with the release of her second studio album, Movie. The Dominican princess looks to capitalize her off the success of her first LP The Plan. The 16 track collection features guest appearances from Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, and more.
