Controversial entertainer Kanye “Ye” West has made a few questionable life decisions since his split from Kim Kardashian.

In October 2022, he designed a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt and modeled it at his Paris fashion show, sparking backlash from members of the hip-hop community.

Weeks later, he went on a Twitter rant, letting off a slew of insensitive comments about the Jewish community – all while renovating his newly purchased mansion in Malibu.

However, Kanye is set to bid farewell to the home — which has been a prominent part of his real estate portfolio — soon.

Kanye West is selling his mansion in Malibu — details.

Kanye purchased his nearly 4,000-square-foot pad in September 2021 for $75 million, according to TMZ.

The home, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean, was designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. The Grammy-winning rapper initially paid $57 million for the property, purchased from Ashley Olsen’s ex, Richard Sachs. It has four bedrooms, a military bunker, and is made up of reinforced steel and concrete.

Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Malibu, Kanye’s mansion is a testament to architectural brilliance and contemporary design. Upon purchasing the home, the “All Of The Lights” MC decided to completely renovate the interior.

But for the home to be habitable, Kanye’s Malibu mansion will need some major repairs.

Kanye West isn't the only rapper with real estate in Los Angeles.

Kanye is not the only superstar getting in on the real estate game. In May 2023, Jay-Z and Beyoncé purchased a massive eight-acre home in Paradise Cove that was also designed by Tadao Ando.

The musical duo set a record for homes purchased in California after paying $190 million for the mansion. The home was purchased from art collectors Maria and Bill Bell and is one of 20 properties the architect designed in the U.S.

Drake also forked over a huge amount for a swanky Los Angeles home. In 2022, he spent $75 million on a mega-mansion in Beverly Crest – a neighborhood that sits on the mountains of LA.

The home was originally owned by singer Robbie Williams, who sold the home for more than double what he paid for it. However, a year after he bought the 24,260-square-foot property, Drake put the home up for sale.

According to Forbes, the rapper is asking for $88 million for the mansion – which has 10 bedrooms and 22 bathrooms.
