On April 16, Martin hit the big 6-0, and his longtime friend and Bad Boys co-star Will Smith couldn't resist poking fun. Will posted a photo of Martin in a robe and fake beard, joking, "Happy Bday Marty Mar!! You don't look a day over 70,” Will wrote on Instagram.

I’m glad to be waking up every day,” the comedian said during an appearance on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning. “I’m all good. No need for people to be concerned.”

There was also online chatter that suggested Martin had suffered a stroke, but he set the record straight on Sway in the Morning. “There's a rumor out there that I had a stroke. Man, and that's totally not true,” Martin said. “But I thank everybody for the concern and the love and just thank you. But Marty's all good”

In other personal news, Martin's daughter, Jasmin, is engaged to Eric Murphy, son of Eddie Murphy. Martin joked that Eddie told him to pay for their kids’ wedding.

"Eddie said I gotta pay for it," Martin said on Big Boy’s Neighborhood podcast. "He said I gotta pay for it 'cause he paid for his last daughter's wedding, like, the last six weddings. He said it's my turn now. I don't mind."
