Family Over Everything: YFN Lucci Puts His Kids First After Release from Prison
YFN Lucci's kids are the light of his life. Following his stint in jail the rapper has prioritized fatherhood. Here's what we know about his children.

Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci walked free on Jan. 31 and went straight into the arms of his children after nearly four years behind bars. A viral video showed his kids sprinting to hug him as he stepped out of a Georgia prison van, a heartwarming reunion that melted hearts on social media.
Lucci – real name Rayshawn Bennett – had been locked up on a gang-related indictment and secured an early parole after a plea deal. Following his release, the rapper’s lawyers said he is looking for a fresh start and spending time with his kids. “He is overjoyed to reunite with his children, his family, and his music,” they said (per WSBTV).
Since regaining his freedom, Lucci has been bringing his kids along for the ride in positive ways. Let’s take a look at the rapper’s family life.
YFN Lucci is a family man — meet his kids.
Not everyone knew it, but YFN Lucci is a proud father of four children from previous relationships. In fact, two of his kids are the same age – he once joked about having “ghetto twins,” meaning he had two babies by different women around the same time. Over the years, Lucci has mostly kept his kids’ identities out of the public eye, though he hasn’t shied away from sharing the joys of fatherhood.
Lucci is also helping other families in his community. On April 20, the rapper hosted his 2nd annual Golden Bunny Bash, an Easter community event that doubled as his first big public appearance after release. More than 650 children and their families came out to celebrate Easter with egg hunts, music, and free treats. Each activity station at the bash was named after one of Lucci’s kids: Justice’s popcorn stand, Legacy’s Italian ice, Liberty’s cotton candy, and Honest’s face-painting booth.
“My kids are my world,” he said at the event (via Rolling Out). “I want them to see what it means to give. I want them to understand that success isn’t just what you have — it’s what you give away.”
YFN Lucci’s baby mamas are not in the public eye.
Lucci’s baby mamas keep things lowkey. While he has multiple kids by several women, his relationship with the mothers of his children is cordial. “They not like the best of friends but we could be in the same room and the sh*t could be cordial. It’s for the kids,” he said during an appearance on Angela Yee’s Established. “They’re sister and brother. They want to see each other.”
Following his release from prison in January, Lucci expressed a renewed commitment to his family and personal growth. Just weeks after coming home, Lucci celebrated his 34th birthday at a surprise bash surrounded by family and friends. According to Bossip, the CEO of his label gifted him a custom diamond chain bearing a photo of Lucci’s kids – a symbol of “family and legacy” that the rapper proudly wore.
