When Gunna returned to the spotlight after being jailed for his involvement in Young Thug’s RICO case, he had a new physique. The rapper, known for his melodic flows and chart-topping hits, has been making waves not just in the music industry but also in the fitness world.

The 30-year-old MC recently opened up about his dedication to health and fitness, revealing a workout routine that keeps him in top shape amidst his hectic schedule.

In an interview with XXL, Gunna revealed that he lost nearly 40 pounds after changing his diet.

“Less eating. Especially when I went to jail,” he said. “I lost a lot of weight. Just like, cleansing. Detoxing. And when I got home, I started working out and just keeping it fit. And now, I’m on a year straight of all working out.”

Gunna went on to explain that he previously made several attempts to change his lifestyle, but they were unsuccessful. Now, the rapper is in beast modenand he is fully committed to working out and eating healthier.

Gunna’s workout routine is not for the faint of heart.

Since being released from prison, Gunna has become a fitness fanatic. The rapper’s workout routine is a blend of strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises. His regimen is designed to build muscle, enhance endurance, and maintain overall health.

Gunna admits that he has a trainer, as he is committed to working out six days a week while maintaining a healthy diet.

“I got a trainer. I work out six days a week,” Gunna told XXL. “I eat better. I eat clean. And that’s something I’m disciplining myself to do every day. It’s something that I’m liking, though. I feel better when I work out.”

Gunna has also taken his workouts to another level, by partnering with professional athletes to get a taste of what their routine consists of.

On June 1, a video of Gunna working out at the training facility of the New England Patriots appeared online. In the clip, the rapper was holding his own alongside the pro footballers. Gunna is seen participating in drills, hitting the gym, and practicing passes.

Gunna’s fans have praised his physical transformation.

Gunna’s physical transformation has not gone unnoticed. The rapper took the stage on May, and fans could not stop talking about how fit the rapper had become. In a clip shared by The Neighborhood Talk, Gunna is performing his hit song “Fukumean” for a crowd of screaming fans.

In the comment section, fans praised the Atlanta native for making the transformative lifestyle changes.

“The gym will make a better version of everybody! Love to see it,” one person wrote. While another added, “Jail really makes n---as handsome like foreal it’s something in that water.”

For his part, Gunna has openly discussed his fitness routine, but he also plays it cool. In September, TMZ caught up with the rapper in Beverly Hills, who suggested that a healthy sex life caused him to lose weight.
