Burna Boy dropped a video for "City Boys" — here's a breakdown of the song's meaning.

While there aren't any other artists vocally joining Burna on the track, the song itself is a collaboration. Several music industry icons, including singer Jeremih and songwriter Mick Schultz, had writing credits on it.

Listeners will find that "City Boys" is a love letter to African men that empowers them to be comfortable and confident in their skin.

"There was a time in life when we weren’t popping," Burna said in an interview with KISS FRESH. "You had to be a light-skinned boy. Did you not have Chris Brown on your wall? Let’s be real, we weren’t popping. We were getting called all types of names. It is what it is, you know."
