Future and Metro Boomin have quickly become one of the most powerful duos in hip-hop. The two have announced plans to kick off a joint tour in 2024, and fans are excited. With both rappers known for pushing the boundaries of rap, hip-hop heads are eagerly anticipating the tour, which promises to be legendary.
Future and Metro have been leading the charge, dropping hit after hit since their first collaboration in 2012. Since then, the hip-hop heavyweights have joined forces for several very successful music projects.
The joint album, We Don’t Trust You, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 – selling more than 250,000 units in the first week. The accomplishment marked Metro’s biggest week of sales for his career, and Future’s second.
Now, the two are gearing up to go on tour, with stops planned at various locations across the U.S. Here’s what we know about Future and Metro’s highly anticipated "We Trust You" tour.
Here’s everything you need to know about Future and Metro’s 2024 tour.
Future and Metro Boomin’s tour is set to be huge. The duo released two albums in April, We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, and both have reached the Top 10 on Billboard’s 200 chart. The rappers plan to take their show on the road, stopping at 27 arenas across the country.
The tour will kick off on July 30 in Kansas City at the famed T-Mobile arena. Future and Metro will also make stops in Detroit, Nashville, and Atlanta, before closing out the show in Vancouver.
Ticket prices range, but there are some affordable options for fans looking to enjoy the show on a budget. For the show in Missouri, fans can grab seats for as low as $44, with VIP packages starting at $314. VIP packages include access to a dining lounge, early access, and exclusive merch options. Of course, prices vary based on the selected venue.
Future and Metro are being clowned for low ticket sales amid beef with Drake.
"We Trust You" tour ticket sales have been slow, according to Touring Data. The database suggests that the multi-city tour has only sold 43% of the available tickets for the 27 scheduled shows (via Hot New Hip Hop). Once they caught wind of the news, Drake fans trolled Metro and Future, suggesting that the tour would be a flop.
“Don’t look like them Future/Metro tour dates ticket sales doing too good,” one person tweeted.
Another added: “Metro [and] Future should’ve done the festival circuit a tour just doesn’t make sense.”
However, there were others who defended Future and Metro. Some fans noted that the tour is months away, and there’s no need to rush to purchase tickets. Additionally, the rappers have yet to announce supporting acts. The duo's latest projects feature verses from some of the biggest names in music – leaving room for folks like The Weeknd, Ty Dolla $ign, and J. Cole to make guest appearances on the tour.
