When Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge joined forces to form NxWorries, fans of the artists were unsure what to expect. The result was a music supergroup that combined hip-hop, jazz, and R&B influences.

As fans eagerly await new music, the duo has officially announced plans to release their much-anticipated sophomore album. The album marks their first full-length project since their acclaimed debut, Yes Lawd! – which dropped in 2016.

NxWorries' return to the music scene is a significant moment for Anderson and Knxwledge, as both artists have thrived in their solo careers over the past few years. Anderson partnered with singer Bruno Mars to form Silk Sonic, winning four GRAMMYs alongside the “Grenade” crooner. Meanwhile, Knxwledge has worked with Action Bronson, Prodigy, and Elijah Boothe.

Anderson previously opened up about NxWorries’ long-awaited return and explained that the group has been secretly working on music for years.

“Everything comes full circle. A lot of people don’t know that when Knxwledge and I signed to Stones Throw Records that, that was one of my first-ever record contracts,” he told The Root in 2023, adding, “I’m trying to meet Knxwledge halfway because he’s delivering all the time with the production. He has thousands and thousands of beats.”

Unfortunately, as of this writing, the group has not announced plans to head out on tour in 2024. However, live performances are not completely out of the question. Anderson is set to perform at San Francisco’s Portola Music Festival in September, and who knows Knxwledge could make a surprise appearance.
