Canadian singer-songwriter and producer PartyNextDoor is gearing up for the release of his P4 album, and his fans are excited. The announcement comes after a period of speculation and anticipation surrounding Party’s next project.
Party, born Jahron Brathwaite, burst onto the scene in 2013 with his self-titled mixtape. He later signed to Drake’s record label, OVO Sound, and his career took off. Party dropped his debut album, PartyNextDoor Two, in 2014 and hasn’t slowed down since.
The MC released two singles in 2023 – “R e s e n t m e n t” and “H e r O l d F r i e n d s” – leaving fans on the edge of their seats. After a period of speculation, Party shared news about his 2024 album, offering fans a glimpse into what they can expect from P4.
When is PartyNextDoor’s 2024 album dropping? 'P4's release date has finally been revealed.
PartyNextDoor promised that his fourth studio album would be his best. In an interview with Billboard, the entertainer explained that he worked diligently to create P4, which will be his first release since 2020’s COLOURS.
“This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album,” Party said. This is the proudest I’ve felt,” he told the publication. “I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it.”
On March 14, Party took the stage at SXSW, delivering a show-stopping performance, and shared details about P4.
Party performed hits like "Break from Toronto" and "Come and See Me” alongside a troupe of dancers and a three-piece band. At the end of his hour-long set, Party announced that P4 is dropping on April 26. He also released a new single from the album called “R E A L W O M A N,” and fans can’t get enough of it.
“PartyNextDoor made real woman for actual real women not some of you gremlins,” one fan tweeted. While another wrote, “PartyNextDoor is really my goat this next album is gonna make me lose my mind.”
What do we know about the ‘P4’ tracklist and features?
PartyNextDoor has released three singles since 2023 – “H e r O l d F r i e n d s,” “R E A L W O M A N,” and “R e s e n t m e n t” – which may all appear on P4.
Party has yet to reveal the complete tracklist and he has not mentioned if the studio album will include any guest appearances. However, Party has been known to work with some of the biggest names in music. So, there is a strong chance that the album could include features from Drake, Rihanna, SZA, or any of Party’s past collaborators.
Following the announcement that P4 was dropping in 2024, Drake took to Instagram to gloat about Party – referring to his fellow Canadian as the greatest of all time.
“The real [goat] is back this Friday,” Drake wrote, alongside an image of the single art for Party’s song, “R E A L W O M A N.”
