Fort Worth and the rap community are still grappling with the sudden loss of the 26-year-old up-and-coming rapper Channing Nicole Larry, better known as Enchanting.
Known for her distinctive sound, Enchanting was making a place for herself in the rap game. Her untimely death has left fans and the music community in shock.
What was Rapper Echanting's cause of death?
According to Newsweek, Enchanting passed due to a drug overdose. The claims were solidified when a representative from her management team shared with The Shade Room that the rapper was experiencing withdrawals.
"She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best, and I did everything I could to help her. She tried," the representative said.
However, her family has officially released a statement on the late rapper's Instagram story that her cause of death has yet to be confirmed. The statement was in response to the overdose rumors.
"On behalf of Channing Nicole Larry aka Enchanting we are deeply saddened to announce the death of our sweet and beloved daughter," the statement read. "She was so much to so many but she was our daughter. She lived her life with grace and blessed so many with friendship, laughter and love."
"We also appreciate everyone's respect of our family's privacy as we continue to navigate through this difficult loss. The cause of death has not yet been determined," the family's statement continued.

The news of Enchanting's death first circulated on social media on June 10. Initially, her sister Kay Jay refuted the claims when reports came out of Enchanting's passing. She explained her sister was "she's fighting," but sadly, 20 hours later, the young rapper passed.
According to 94.9 The Beat, Enchanting was in intensive care on life support, which loved ones confirmed on their social media.
"They Pulled The Plug Bro This Shit So F***** Up I Just Knew You was Finna Pull Threw @luvenchanting You gone Forever Be Stop6 Princess & Kasino First Lady," Texas rapper LilCJ Kasino captioned a heartfelt post.
Fans and peers began to send in their condolences for the rapper. Her former mentor, Gucci Mane, also showed the late rapper love.
Enchanting was signed to Gucci Mane's label.
Enchanting gained notoriety when she signed with Gucci Mane's 1017 Records label in 2020. This partnership was a major milestone in her career.
Gucci Mane, a respected figure in the rap industry, saw potential in Enchanting and provided her with a platform to showcase her talent.
In 2022, she released her hit single "Track & Field," featuring Kaliii. The single has garnered over 6 million views on YouTube. The Texas rapper parted ways with the 1017 Records label the following year.
