One artist who has constantly been mentioned in the music industry in recent years, specifically in hip-hop, is none other than rising rapper Cash Cobain.

With a few albums and a handful of successful singles, Cash is quickly making a name for himself. Here is everything you need to know about him and his career.

Cash Cobain was born and raised in New York. His upbringing in this diverse, musical area was what inspired him to get started in the music industry in the first place.

"[My] family, they love music like on a different level, my whole family. So just growing up, around them and around The Bronx where hip-hop started, I wanted to make music. I wanted to create beats. So that's why I started off making beats," he explained to BET.

Despite only being in the industry for a few years now, Cash has collabed with some of the biggest rappers in the industry, including Lil Yachty and Chow Lee.

Most of his popular songs include the phrase "slizzy," a word that he assumably came up with himself. From "Slizzy Dialogue" to "Slizzy Talk," it isn't a Cash Cobain song without it being mentioned at least once.

According to the rapper, the word symbolizes being carefree and living life to the absolute fullest, which makes it a good phrase to remember.

Cash Cobain is a well-known producer, too.

He's not just known for his rapping, Cash is a talented producer who knows how to mix samples to create timeless tracks, too. He was one of the producers behind Drake's song "Calling for You" featuring 21 Savage on his popular Meet Teezo Touchdown: The Down South Rapper Who Is Taking Over Your Timeline.

Furthermore, he doesn't want to be defined as just a rapper, but rather a talented, skillful producer who can make other rappers look good as well.

"I wanna be so much more than an artist. I just executive-produced two albums. That’s where I wanna be, behind the scenes," he told Rolling Stone in an interview.

This music artist does not want to stop at the level of fame that he has now. Even though he already has over 5 million streams on YouTube alone, he's only getting started on his road to icon status.

"I just want to make music and turn up the best way I could, make this thing blow up, make it go crazy. Have more fun. Get the Cash Cobain brand more out there. I like the direction. So I want to continue and keep moving forward," he explained in an interview.

If he stays on the trajectory he has been on, Cash Cobain will soon be able to join Drake, Future, and more as one of the most prominent rappers in the game.
