Amid Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s beef, a social media mystery occurred. An X account, that goes by EbonyPrince2K24, inserted itself into the drama and fans are now more confused than ever.
The root of the drama stems from Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams” diss track. In the song, released in response to Drake’s “Family Matters,” K-Dot makes shocking claims about the Toronto rapper.
“He hates Black women, hypersexualizes 'em with kinks of a nympho fetish / Grew facial hair because he understood bein' a beard just fit him better,” Kendrick raps. “He got sex offenders on ho-VO that he keep on a monthly allowance / A child should never be compromised and he keepin' his child around them.”
And while the accusations made in the song are scathing, the cover art is really causing a stir. The photo shows a pair of gloves, bottles of Ozempic, a receipt, and other items reportedly belonging to Drake.
According to DJ Akademiks, the items were taken from a suitcase that Drake’s father was carrying. Days after the drama unfolded, EbonyPrince2K24 appeared on X, with alleged proof that the photo is real.
Netizens are calling Kendrick “The Riddler” because they think he’s EbonyPrince2K24.
No one has been able to confirm the identity of the person behind the EbonyPrince2K24 account. Some netizens believe that Kendrick is running the burner profile.
The first clue is the video showing items from Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams” cover art. Some are questioning how Kendrick would have had to obtain the image for the single if the items were in EbonyPrince2K24’s possession. Kendrick has since been dubbed “The Riddler.”
However, not every clue points to Kendrick as the perpetrator. EbonyPrince2K24 has since made several claims that don’t seem to have any relation to the California native.
The X user accused Drake of having two men fired. The account also posted a photo of jewelry, which they suggest belongs to the “One Dance” rapper. But a follow-up tweet seems to combat the idea that Kendrick is behind the account.
“It was no secret to my closest colleagues that all of these items were long in my possession,” EbonyPrince2K24 wrote. “So last Monday, when I finally was shown "Meet The Grahams" in the employee cafeteria, I instantly understood the assignment.”
EbonyPrince2K24 has made some wild claims about Drake.
On May 3, DJ Akademiks revealed that he received intel about the cover art for Kendrick’s “Meet the Grahams.” “This cover art contains things that is from Drake’s pop’s suitcase,” Akademiks claimed. Adding, “Don’t know how he got a hold of it. Don’t know how it got in Kendrick’s hands.”
Akademiks’ remarks added another layer to the messy feud, as Kendrick previously stated that he got information about Drake from members of his team, although he did not specify how he got the info.
Drake denied that there were moles in his camp, suggesting in “The Heart Part 6” that he secretly fed Kendrick the false intel that was used in the diss track. However, EbonyPrince2K24 has decided to combat Drake’s claims.
In addition to posting a photo of the items in the cover photo for Kendrick’s diss track, EbonyPrince2K24 claimed that Drake had an inappropriate relationship with journalist, Christopher Alvarez.
Christopher has since denied these claims, emphasizing that his meeting with Drake was for an interview with The Brooklyn Eagle.
