Kendrick Lamar and Whitney Alford were high school sweethearts.

Kendrick Lamar does not speak about his family in interviews, but he often gloats about his personal life in his music. In his song, “She Needs Me,” Kendrick reveals that the two met sometime around 2005 and have been locked in ever since.

“Five years later, an accounting major, work at a firm / Abundance of paper, she got a career, she look in the rear / View mirror of a Mercedez that she can steer,” he raps.

The couple made their first public appearance in 2014 on the red carpet for the 56th annual GRAMMY Awards. A year later, Kendrick gushed over his love for the accountant during an interview with Billboard.

“That’s my best friend. I don’t even like the term that society has put in the world as far as being a companion — she’s somebody I can tell my fears to,” he said.

Kendrick and Whitney started expanding their family in 2019.

Kendrick and Whitney took their relationship to another level in 2019, welcoming the first of their two children. Their baby girl, Uzi, has been kept away from the public eye.

Kendrick seldom speaks about his kids; he even waited until 2022’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers to reveal his daughter’s name. On the album, Kendrick also revealed that the couple secretly welcomed a second child. Their son, Enoch, may have been born that year – although his birth details are still unknown.

Kendrick Lamar’s relationship with his longtime fiancé Whitney Alford has come into question amid the rapper’s feud with Drake.

Kendrick and Drake have been involved in a fiery rap beef, and both have made shocking allegations about the other. In the song “Meet The Grahams,” Kendrick suggested that Drake has lied about several aspects of his personal life. The DAMN rapper claimed that Drake secretly fathered a child. And Drake had an even nastier response.

Drake dropped “Family Matters” as a scathing reply to Kendrick’s “Euphoria” and "6:16 in LA." In the song, Drake accuses Kendrick of abusing Whitney, and he even claims that another man is Enoch’s father. “Your baby mama captions always screamin', ‘Save me’ / You did her dirty all your life, you tryna make peace,” Drake raps. He adds, “I heard that one of 'em little kids might be Dave Free’s.”
