Basketball superstar Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, are one of the most beloved NBA couples around. Their journey from high school sweethearts to power couple has warmed the hearts of fans – who can’t get enough of their loving relationship.

Steph’s rise to NBA fame began when he was selected by the Golden State Warriors as the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. His breakthrough season came in 2012-2013 when he shattered the NBA record for three-pointers made in a single season.

Steph reached new heights during the 2015-2016 season, when he became the first player in NBA history to be a unanimous MVP, earning the award for a second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, the rising basketball star was also a dotting husband to Ayesha. Ayesha – a Canadian native – is a lifestyle guru, cooking show host, and entrepreneur. The pair have been together since the early 2000’s and their relationship remains solid.

Steph and Ayesha first crossed paths as teenagers in Charlotte, N.C. Their love story blossomed during their high school years when they attended the same church youth group. Despite attending different schools, their bond strengthened, and they started dating in no time.

“We were just kids," Ayesha told PEOPLE. "He was the cute boy at church that all of the girls were obsessed with, so I made a generalization that maybe he wasn't for me."

2008 — Steph and Ayesha’s relationship got serious.

After briefly separating during their teenage years, Steph and Ayesha reconnected in 2008. Their pair went on their first official date as adults that year, and it was clear that they were meant to be together. Two years later, Steph popped the question and Ayesha said yes!

In 2011, Steph and Ayesha tied the knot at a ceremony in Charlotte, N.C. – where the two first met.

2012 — The Curry family started expanding.

Steph and Ayesha wasted no time expanding their family. They welcomed their first child, Riley, in 2012, and their second three years later.

“I'm way up I feel blessed! God is great,” Steph said on Instagram alongside a photo of his family. He added: “Healthy baby and @ayeshacurry is all I prayed for.”

The Curry family welcomed another baby in 2018 – a baby boy named Canon.

2019 — Ayesha's comments about Steph on 'Red Table Talk' went viral.

In 2019, Ayesha sat down for an appearance on Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Red Table Talk and spoke candidly about her marriage to the famed NBA player.

During the conversation, Ayesha revealed that she feels insecure about the attention Steph receives from other women.

“Something that really bothers me and honestly has given me a little bit of a sense of insecurity is the fact that yea, there are like all these women throwing themselves [at him],” she said.

2024 — Steph and Ayesha announced that they were expecting a fourth child.

Today, Steph and Ayesha’s marriage is stronger than ever.

The couple celebrated their 12-year anniversary in July 2023, marking the occasion with a loving post on Instagram. Additionally, the pair are set to welcome their fourth child. Ayesha announced the news in a February cover story for Sweet July, showing off her baby bump in a risqué ensemble.
