Once again Liberty Fairs packed its bags to continue their in-person return – this time in Los Angeles!
Continuing their return from URL to IRL, the Liberty Fairs trade show made its mark on the west coast at the California Market Center August 4-5th. A first-time feat in Los Angeles for the duo, Sharifa Murdock and Edwina Kulego, pulled out all the stops for the fashion-forward experience.
“Los Angeles has always been on the horizon for Liberty Fairs,” Edwina Kulego, VP of Liberty Lifestyle & Fashion Fairs, tells MR. Mag. “We are excited to bring Liberty Fairs to a new destination.”
Veering from its home base of New York City, Liberty Fairs took the fashion platform to new heights with their mobile activations in Miami, Florida, and now, Los Angeles, California. Originally adapting Las Vegas as their second home prior to the pandemic, Liberty Fairs tapped The Golden State to make its in-person return.
Liberty West welcomed over 200 buyers and brands – both, established and emerging – crafted cocktails, branded Liberty West totes for keepsakes, and a grooming suite to include complimentary cuts courtesy of Jack Henry.
Keeping promise to house and highlight Black-owned and rising fashion brands, Liberty West fulfilled the return of The Pavement – a specific group of the new, yet notable.
ABOUT LIBERTY FAIRS
Founded in 2013 by Sharifa Murdock and Sam Ben-Avraham, the tradeshow originally had a sole focus on emerging menswear brands. Since then it has taken place bi-annually in both New York and Las Vegas. The idea was inspired in part by the pair’s previous experience in trade shows which were geared towards already established brands. They wanted to create an event for up-and-comers who did not have the resources to break into mainstream fashion. The mission of the event is to connect the talent with the buyers which it has done successfully for almost ten years.
