The Breakdown: Lil Uzi Vert was rushed to a hospital, leaving fans worried about his health. The rapper was seen being rolled out of his hotel, looking unwell.
Fans of Lil Uzi Vert were left stunned as video of the rapper being rolled out of a Lower Manhattan hotel on a gurney was posted on April 21. According to TMZ, Uzi’s girlfriend, JT, was by his side during the ordeal and traveled with him to the hospital. In the past, Lil Uzi Vert has been open about their health struggles. In a 2023 interview with GQ, they discussed their journey to sobriety and how it changed after watching their peers struggle publicly.
“Around that time, I was still overly turnt,” Uzi said. “Of course, to the public, we lost people, which was super unfortunate and super crazy. But then in our world, we lose people every day to that. So it was almost like, I don't want to say a norm, but it was normal.”
Now, Uzi appears to be facing another medical issue, leaving fans worried about his health. Here is everything we know about the rapper’s current condition.
Lil Uzi was hospitalized for an unknown condition.
On April 21, paramedics responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a "sick person" around 2:30 p.m. Eyewitnesses observed Uzi being wheeled out on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance, with security personnel using black umbrellas to shield him from public view. According to Page Six, Uzi remained hospitalized for at least one day after being admitted.
In response to public concern Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, shared an update on social media, stating that Lil Uzi Vert was "okay," per iHeartMedia. Ye posted a screenshot of a text conversation indicating that the rapper was "just dehydrated," though the message also suggested there might be more to the situation.
Fans have taken to social media to express their support and concern for the rapper. “Prayers for him, I know he makes a lot of people happy,” one person tweeted, while another wrote, “Bellevue? Ooph. Hope Uzi’s alright, but let’s just say … overnight there isn't exactly a spa stay.” As of now, Lil Uzi Vert and his representatives have not issued an official statement regarding his hospitalization.
Lil Uzi has had a few wild medical moments.
In February 2021, Uzi made headlines after implanting a 10-carat pink diamond, reportedly worth $24 million, into their forehead. The rapper claimed the gem was inspired by the character Steven Universe and symbolized their commitment to uniqueness. However, the flashy accessory didn't come without complications. Uzi revealed that the diamond caused bleeding and needed to be removed to prevent serious health risks. Despite the initial setback, they had the diamond re-implanted shortly after.

The most dramatic incident occurred during Uzi's performance at Rolling Loud Miami in July 2021. While crowd surfing, fans reportedly ripped the diamond out of their forehead. Fortunately, Uzi managed to recover the gem and later replaced it with a barbell piercing. Uzi ultimately removed the diamond and now has a massive tattoo on his forehead.
