Jacob Latimore is excited about the future of ‘The Chi.’

Jacob Latimore’s character Emmett had a rough time in Season 6 of The Chi. Emmett finds himself enthralled in a plot to assassinate Douda (played by Curtiss), but it fails miserably. Now, Douda is on Emmett’s head, leaving the character’s safety in limbo.

Jacob opened up about Emmett’s turmoil in an interview with EurWeb, explaining that the character has a faulty superhero complex.

“Emmett has got himself in something tremendously terrible that Victor (James), in a way, feels he has to step in because he has this superhero complex that only he can get the job done to ease us from this pain that has been plaguing our community,” Jacob said, adding, “We are watching that challenge. This second half, you will watch people, the rise and fall.”
