The Breakdown: French Montana has solidified himself as a prominent face of the blog era in hip-hop. The Moroccan-born rapper has had plenty of ups and downs throughout his career, but his net worth has stayed strong.
Imagine being born in Northern Africa, immigrating to the United States as a teen, learning English as you rough the harsh streets of New York in the 90s, and then working your way to becoming a multimillionaire artist. You’d think this story is too good to be true, but not for French Montana.
A son of two Moroccan parents, the Coke Boys rapper moved to the U.S. at 13. When he came to the country, he only spoke French and Arabic but learned English as he grew up in the Bronx. His father left the family to return to their native country and Montana’s mother single-handedly raised him and his brother as they navigated the New York street life.
So, how did the rapper go from humble beginnings to world tours and million-dollar deals? Here’s everything we know about the artist’s net worth and more.

Here's what we know about how French Montana went from Morocco to millions in net worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, French Montana has amassed a net worth of $50 million. While the database doesn’t mention what contributed to such a massive fortune, we can assume that most of it comes from the Moroccan-American artist’s music career. He’s always been an active member of the hip-hop community, but his beginnings didn’t start in rap.
Montana originally made a name for himself in the streets of New York through his Cocaine City DVD series. Launched in the early 2000s, the series focused on interviews, freestyles, and footage of the city’s underground hip-hop scenes. Before releasing his debut studio album Excuse My French in 2013, the rapper had released over ten mixtapes and was well-known in the NYC rap scene.

Working with Akon under the Konvict Music record label, he was a certified blog-era rapper ahead of his commercial success. In 2010, French Montana got Waka Flocka Flame to feature on his song “Choppa Choppa Down.”
The song gained so much traction in the South that it spawned two more remixes in 2011. One featured Project Pat and Juicy J, and the other featured Rick Ross and Wiz Khalifa. Gucci Mane also put his spin on the song, marking Montana’s official entrance to the rap industry.

After the success of the song, a bidding war started between Bad Boy Records, G.O.O.D Music, Roc Nation, and Maybach Music Group (MMG). The rapper and Sean “Diddy” Combs agreed on a deal, leading to him signing with Bad Boy Records and MMG reaching a joint deal. After dropping his debut album, “Pop That” became a hit played in bars, clubs, college dorms, and radio stations across the U.S.
A few years went by of French Montana appearing on features and dropping mixtapes, most notably Coke Boys 4, before finding major commercial success with his album Jungle Rules in 2017. While this album granted Montana higher commercial success, it was heavily carried by the lead single “Unforgettable” featuring Swae Lee.

Who is French Montana's ex-wife and do they have kids?
Two years before he proclaimed he was “Married to the Streets,” Montana married Deen Kharbouch in 2007. The love story of how the two met has yet to be shared, but the pair seemed to be happy together, even starting a family in 2010 with the birth of their son Kruz.
The couple ran into problems as the rapper began to rise in the industry as a key figure. In an interview with The BoomBox, French Montana stated, “...As much as people think that money changes you, it's changing them around you.” It seems that a recurring issue for the couple was the “All for You” artist’s frivolous spending habits and his more frequent interactions with women.

“You around so many beautiful women, that's a conflict too … It's just about finding somebody that understand the game, what you're into,” Montana also stated in the interview.
The couple separated in 2012. Before the divorce was finalized in 2014, French Montana was spotted having dated multiple women. After the split, the rapper has been seen with Khloe Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, Sanaa Lathan, Draya Michele, and Trina.
