The beef between Latto and Ice Spice kept fans on the edge of their seats. The female rappers are new to the game, but that hasn’t stopped them from captivating hip-hop lovers with their music and social media antics.
Latto made waves in the hip-hop scene after appearing on Jermaine Dupri's reality show, The Rap Game, where she won the first season. She landed a breakout hit with "B---h from da Souf" in 2020, which catapulted the MC into to the spotlight. Meanwhile, Ice Spice burst onto the scene with her viral hit "Munch (Feelin' U)." The Bronx native has since had a rapid rise to fame thanks to collaborations with artists like Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress, and Taylor Swift.
However, the alleged beef between the two rappers has taken center stage. While both artists have remained relatively tight-lipped about the rumored tension, social media and fans have been quick to speculate on the reasons behind their supposed feud.
Rumors of a beef — here's how it all started between Latto and Ice Spice.
The alleged beef between Latto and Ice Spice began with a series of subtle social media interactions and cryptic posts directed at each other. Both artists appeared to have taken jabs at one another without explicitly mentioning the other. In October 2023, Latto appeared on Offset’s “Fine As Can Be” and fired off a suggestive bar.
“That n***a a munch/Yo’ bookin’ fee, ate it for lunch/I don’t do backends, need it up front,” Latto raps.

Fans believed that the lyrics were a shot at Ice, and Latto did not let up. In January, Latto teased a diss track on X, with a video of Ice playing in the clip. And while Latto did not mention the New York native, it did not take long for Ice to respond.
In her song “Think U the S**t (Fart),” Ice Spice rapped, “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up / She all on the floor, told her get up.” Observant fans believed that Ice was subtly dissing Latto, which the Bronx rapper later confirmed.
“Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak a-- snippet… I was like, ‘Wait a second—that’s me,'” Ice said in an X Spaces session (per Complex). “So I’m like, ‘Okay since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me… I was like, ‘This has to be fake—this is AI,’ but b---hes be bold, so I was like, ‘Alright, we’re being bold today.’”
Ice Spice has laughed off her beef with Latto as “a joke.”
Ice Spice spoke about her feud with Latto in a July cover story for Rolling Stone, and she suggested that the Atlanta rapper “dragged out” their beef.
“I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like, at this point, it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny,” Ice said. “Like, bro, 'Think U the S**t' is from January.”

Latto shared similar sentiments when speaking to Billboard. The “Big Energy” MC admitted that she has no interest in engaging in a rap beef, despite the rumored feud with Ice.
“If I was to do [a battle], it would have to be with somebody I feel like Imma go tit for tat with,” she said. Adding, “I don’t even think she gives me like, ‘Oh, she wants to engage in an actual rap beef.'”
