Fresh off a career-defining NPR Tiny Desk concert and gearing up to support Kali Uchis (North America) and SZA (Europe/UK) on tour this spring and summer, breakout UK superstar RAYE today shares a new remix of her My 21st Century Blues standout “Flip A Switch.” featuring the boundary-breaking rapper Coi Leray available now on all digital platforms.
“Flip A Switch” is the latest off RAYE’s debut album, My 21st Century Blues which earned the South London native widespread critical acclaim for her raw songwriting, versatility, and artistry.

Co-produced by RAYE alongside Mike Sabath (Lizzo, Little Mix, Selena Gomez) and Di Genius (Beyonce, Drake, Burna Boy), the rousing remix finds the powerhouses combining forces for a dynamic must-hear collaboration. The two superstars continue to dominate 2023 thanks to the success of their respective hit singles, including RAYE's inescapable RIAA Platinum, Top 10 radio smash "Escapism," and Leray's Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 "Players," which also reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs Chart.
What is the "Flip a Switch" music video like?
The video can be described as a deep dive into escapism. Coi Leray and RAYE are enthralled in a battle while aboard a speeding double-decker bus. In the video, we see RAYE has been murdered by a gunman, and the video goes back in time. RAYE comes back to life, and the bullet exits her chest and flies back into the killer's gun.
RAYE expresses her anger and sadness on the London bus as a group of girlfriends accompanies her while Coi Leray drives the bus.
Who is RAYE?
RAYE is best known for her song 'Escapism,' which featured 070 Shake. She explained that the song was "a story about running away from everything as fast as you can," She told Clash. "The lyrics are about just leaving everyone on read and going out on your own. It came from a messy time, but as humans, we just have to keep surviving!"
The UK Rapper is from Tooting in Wandsworth, which is in South London. She studied at Woodcote High School in Croydon and then at the performing arts institution, the BRIT School, where she studied music and dance.
