Since his release from custody, Gunna fans have been eagerly waiting for the rapper to drop a new album. The Georgia-born lyricist was indicted on charges of violation of the RICO Act alongside Young Thug and several other members of Young Slim Life (YSL).

According to ABC News, Gunna pleaded guilty to the charges in December 2022 and avoided additional jail time.

“I have chosen to end my own RICO case with an Alford plea and end my personal ordeal by publicly acknowledging my association with YSL,” Gunna said in a statement.

"An Alford plea, in my case, is the entry of a guilty plea to the one charge against me, which is in my best interest, while at the same time maintaining my innocence toward the same charge."

Following his release, Gunna returned to the studio. In July 2023, he released his fourth studio album, A Gift & a Curse, and it quickly shot to the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 while peaking at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Now, fans are wanting more music from the rapper, and he’s set to deliver. Here’s everything we know about Gunna’s 2024 album release.

“This album is still showing growth. Showing me growing into a man because I’ve been more disciplined,” he told XXL. “I’ve been tapping into different things. I’ve been living in a different space. I feel like you’ll hear that in the music. Me being creative and tapping with my voice, doing sounds, doing different melodies. I just feel like you’re gon’ feel me evolve.”
