2023 witnessed the release of monumental albums that left fans entertained, amused, and scrambling to dissect punch lines and shots fired.

Artists like Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Yachty, among others, dropped highly-anticipated albums that fans both critiqued and enjoyed — not to mention Nicki Minaj is slated to drop her long-awaited fifth studio album before the year comes to a close.

In 2023, several other artists announced that they had projects in the works scheduled to drop in the new year. But which rappers are set to drop an album in 2024? Read on to find out!

Lil Wayne — 'Tha Carter VI'

Lil Wayne's Tha Carter VI, the latest installment in Lil Wayne's iconic Tha Carter collection, is one of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2024.

As a seasoned rap veteran, Weezy has consistently delivered groundbreaking albums which is exactly why this album has so much appeal to fans. Earlier this year, the "A Milli" rapper released his seventeenth mixtape, Tha Fix Before Tha VI, as a prelude to what is to come next year.

Kid Cudi — 'INSANO'

In 2023, Kid Cudi announced that he would be putting out an album called INSANO. Later, he took to Twitter to share more details about the monumental album, citing that it had a staggering 40+ songs on its tracklist.

“I am positive this album will have everything you need from me, the fun, the deep thoughts, the inspiration to go out and live your life and be great, the love, the madness, all of it. And I have a wonderful cast of features that im sure you all will love,” he wrote.

He gave fans a taste of what's to come with his 2023 single, "ILL WHAT I BLEED."

DJ Khaled — 'Til Next Time'

DJ Khaled has built his career on sheer authenticity, grit, humor, hard work, and good relationships. These are the elements that have given him influence in the rap game for over a decade.

The "All I Do Is Win" artist is slated to release his 14th studio album, Til Next Time, in 2024.

Ludacris — (Title TBD)

Ludacris is an icon whose music defined the early 2000s.

After his last album, Ludaversal, he stepped away from putting out music and instead directed his creative energy towards acting, namely the Fast and Furious franchise. In a November 2024 interview with BET, he confirmed news of his 2024 album but mentioned that the body of work wasn't ready for release yet.

"Some music projects will be coming out next year," said Ludacris. "I don't wanna fake, I don't wanna stutter-step. I don't wanna be like [André] 3000 and say, I got an album coming out. I don’t know," he shared. We will keep our fingers crossed for this one!

Cardi B — (Title TBD)

Ever since she released Invasion of Privacy five years ago, fans have been speculating about when Cardi B's next album is dropping. In an interview with Ebro in the Morning, she mentioned that her album will be released in 2024. Additionally, she reflected on her first album.

"For my first album, I didn’t get to do not even half the things I wanted to do because I was super super-duper pregnant.

"I missed out on a lot of videos I wanted to do, I missed out on touring. I just missed out on a lot of things, so I just gotta make sure that everything is just planned out,” the "Bodak Yellow" rapper said.
