One of the most popular choreographers in the music industry right now is Sean Bankhead. He's incredibly talented and has a handful of MTV Music Video Award nominations to prove it.

His resume is exceptionally long, but there are a few artists he has done video choreography for over the years who definitely stand out. Here are four performers and groups he's worked with that might surprise you.

Sean worked on several of their music videos for songs like "He Like That," "Bo$$," and "Sledgehammer." Even after the group broke up, he ended up working on Normani's "Motivation" and her "Wild Side" collab with Cardi B.

"We've been working so long together and have formed this bond and this trust; we push each other to do something crazier than the last time," Sean told Pitchfork about Normani.

Probably one of the biggest music collabs from 2021 was the hit song "Industry Baby" by Lil Nas X and rapper Jack Harlow. And guess who choreographed the music video? Sean Bankhead and it shows. The video has nearly half a billion views on YouTube!

Sean said, "I have so much respect for Nas. I love him dearly, and we get along very well. We're in a groove right now. I don't think people realize how creative he is. He wrote every scene for that music video. That was his entire creative idea. In fact, he's done all the creative ideas for all his videos."

Missy Elliot is one of the best to ever do it when it comes to the music industry. She has an eye for creativity and collaborating with the right people, which makes Sean Bankhead being her go-to choreographer truly an honor.

He choreographed her entire 2019 VMA Vanguard Performance, which featured an epic medley of some of her greatest hits. It is definitely considered to be one of her most legendary performances of all time, which is hard to do.

"She sits there from the beginning until the end, and a lot of times, she will set a rehearsal for an entire month for one music video. So, she comes from an era of having a huge budget and really working with a lot of dancers. But she's also creative, and so she pushes me," Sean said about working with Missy.

Cardi B

Last but certainly not least is popular rapper Cardi B. Sean was the choreographer behind her 'Up' music video, which has over 200 million views on YouTube.

Needless to say, Sean Bankhead is the secret weapon for music artists who want to make a big impact in the entertainment industry. He also inspires Black dancers who want to make their mark. What is your favorite music video he has done?
