Young Scooter fathered three children.

In February, he celebrated his daughter's 10th birthday with a heartfelt Instagram post. “HAPPY BDAY BABY I LOVE U TOO THE MOON AND BACK @1_prettykate THE BIG#10,” Scooter wrote.

Following Scooter's death, his children have been vocal about their grief. His son, Kenneth Bailey Jr., took to Instagram to express his sorrow and frustration. He also criticized the Atlanta Police Department and shared his determination to support his siblings during this challenging time.

“F**k [Atlanta Police Department],” Kennet wrote on his Instagram Stories (per People). "Damn, my best friend gone… Happy Birthday, too. I know exactly what to do [for sure though]. You know I got my sisters and brothers, [they're] overly good. Yo son a hustla just like you, watch [this].”

Young Scooter’s cause of death has been revealed.

The circumstances surrounding Scooter’s cause of death are saddening. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Atlanta police responded to a 911 call reporting a dispute involving gunfire and a woman being forcibly taken back into a residence. Upon arrival, officers knocked on the door, which was briefly opened and then shut by a male individual.

As police established a perimeter, two men fled from the rear of the house. One returned inside, while the other, identified as Young Scooter, attempted to escape by jumping two fences. During this attempt, he sustained a severe leg injury. Officers provided immediate medical assistance, including applying a tourniquet, before transporting him to Grady Marcus Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Scooter’s exact cause of death remains under investigation, with an autopsy pending. Authorities have confirmed that no weapons were discharged by officers during the incident. The initial 911 call reported a violent altercation involving gunfire and a woman being dragged back into the residence, but details remain unclear.
