Rapper XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, left behind a legacy that continues to resonate with his fans. The Florida native burst onto the music scene with his breakthrough song, “Look at Me.”
His genre-bending approach set him apart in the industry and his popularity on SoundCloud helped catapult his career. Outside of music, he shared a profound connection with his mom, Cleopatra Bernard, known as "Cleo."
According to The Miami New Times, X started writing his will seven months before he was gunned down.
Following his death, Cleo became the executor of the rapper’s estate. Soon after, X’s family became engulfed in a nasty legal battle over the “Revenge” MC’s fortune.
Per his will, Cleo would serve as X’s representative while his brothers, Aiden Kerr and Corey Pack, were named as beneficiaries. Corey later filed a lawsuit against Cleo, alleging that she was hiding money, per NBC Miami.
Amid the messy legal battle, X's mom took steps to help preserve the rapper's legacy. Here is what Cleo has been up to since X’s death and a list of ways she has chosen to honor her son.
What is XXXTentacion's mom doing now? Here's what we know.
Through initiatives like the XXXTentacion Foundation, Cleo has tried to shift the troubled narrative that followed X.
Before his death, X was accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala. Cleo addressed the accusations in a conversation with Geneva which was featured in the 2022 documentary Look at Me: XXXTentacion.
“Jahseh was wrong for what he did,” Cleo told Geneva. “There’s no excuse for that, period. But I just want the world to know that he wasn’t that same person anymore.”
Through initiatives like the XXXTentacion Foundation, she continues to foster the positive impact he aimed to make on the world. Mental health awareness, domestic violence prevention, and educational support are at the forefront of the organization's endeavors.
Cleo's dedication doesn't stop with public efforts. Her social media platforms have become a canvas for sharing cherished memories, unseen photos, and intimate glimpses into her relationship with XXXTentacion.
XXXTentacion left behind two brothers.
After X died, his brothers – Aiden and Corey – have continued to pursue public careers.
X’s eldest brother, Corey, is a father and fashion designer. He owns a clothing brand called 51VEONE, which sells beanies, puffer coats, and other streetwear essentials.
While it's unclear if Corey has settled his feud with their mom, the designer previously claimed to no longer have access to X’s mausoleum because the locks were changed.
Aiden, the youngest of the bunch, lives with X’s mother. The teenager has become an influencer in his own right, boasting more than 300,000 followers on Instagram. The account, which is managed by Cleo, often shares photos from Aiden’s time boxing, the family’s adventures, and memories from their time with X.
